Note:
1. This Inventory includes ingredients that have been used in cosmetic porducts produced and sold in China.
2. China Food and Drug Administration does not conduct safety evaluation on ingredients included in this Inventory. When using ingredients listed in this Inventory, cosmetic manufacturers should comply with requirements in the relevent regulations and standards and conduct safety risk assessment on ingredients, who should also be responsible for the quality and safety of products.
3. When using sunscreening agents, preservatives, colorants, hair colorants and restricted substances included in this Inventory, cosmetic companies should follow corresponding requirements prescribed in the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics. Those ingredients listed in the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics but not incorporated into this Inventory should be regulated refering to requirements for existing cosmetic ingredients.
4. The standard Chinese names of Ingredients in this Inventory shoud be in line with the Catalogue of Standard Chinese Names of International Cosmetic Ingredients 2010 (namely INCI-Chinese version 2010). It should be indicated if diffrent Chinese names in different versions of INCI-Chinese version for the same ingredient are adopted. In the column 'INCI Name/English Name' of this Inventory, italics are English names.
5. If the ingredient's name is in the form of 'a name of a plant+extract', it means that the plant and its extracts are regarded as existing ingredients. The part of the plant where the used ingredient is sourced should be indicated. If the ingredient's name is in the form of 'a name of a plant+flower/leaf/stem+extract' or 'a name of a plant+flower/leaf/vine+extract', it means that the above-ground parts of this plant and their extracts are deemed as existing ingredients. The part of the plant where the used ingredient is sourced should be indicated.
6. In the column of 'Chinese Name' in this Inventory, some Chinese names of ingredients are marked with '*', meaning a certain category of ingredients. The name of the specific ingredient used should be indicated.
7. In the column of 'Chinese Name' in this Inventory, some Chinese names of ingredients are marked with '**', meaning that the names of ingredients are not standard and the source of animal or plant origin of not clear. The specific name and source of origin of the ingredient used should be indicated.
8. If one item number has two ingredient names, it means they are the same ingredient. The name listes in the INCI-Chinese version 2010 or the plant ingredient name based on the standard Chinese name naming principal should be chosen when using this ingredient.
