Summary

The 36th ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) meeting was held in November 2022, during which it introduced new changes to cosmetic ingredients in the Annexes of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD), including adding 42 prohibited ingredients, as well as amending the use requirements for 1 prohibited ingredient, 4 restricted ingredients, 1 permitted colorant, 3 permitted preservatives, and 1 permitted UV filter. These amendments will officially take effect on November 21, 2024.
