This method stipulates the determination of magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl glucoside, kojic acid, niacinamide, 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid, potassium methoxysalicylate, ferulic acid, ellagic acid, 4-butylresorcinol, phenylethyl resorcinol, and tranexamic acid in cosmetics by high performance liquid chromatography.

The first part of this method is applicable to the determination of magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl glucoside, kojic acid, niacinamide, 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid, potassium methoxysalicylate, ferulic acid, ellagic acid, 4-butylresorcinol, and phenylethyl resorcinol in water-based, emulsions, gels, facial masks, low oil content creams (water-based and oil-in-water), high oil content creams and foundations (water-in-oil) cosmetics.

The second part of this method is applicable to the determination of tranexamic acid in lotions, creams, emulsions, gels and facial masks.
