South Korea has long been revising its Cosmetics Act, Enforcement Rule of the Cosmetics Act, Cosmetics Safety Standard, etc. No. 15488 Cosmetics Act has been effective on Mar. 14, 2019. The amendments include the introduction of natural/organic cosmetics certification system, reporting system for customized cosmetic sales business, expansion of cosmetic responsible sellers’ responsibilities, etc., which will have a significant influence on enterprises entering South Korean cosmetics market.
