Body powders include products which are commonly known as talcum powders, dusting powders, toilet powders, deodorant powders. Face powders are basically makeup preparations which cover up blemishes and give a uniform made up look. Medicated powders, for which therapeutic claims are made (for example prickly heat powder) are not included in this standard, since they are classified as drugs under Drugs ad Cosmetic Act of Government of India.
