In Indonesia, for an importer or business individual/business entity that undertakes a production contract, it must obtain a recommendation as a notification applicant. The recommendation shall be obtained by submitting an application for facilities inspection to the Head of the local UPT BPOM.

This regulation provides a legal basis for the competent authority to issue a recommendation, including the requirements of the enterprise (including qualifications and facilities, etc.), the application process and time required, the required documents and templates, etc.
