Directive 2001/95/EC on General Product Safety

Effective January 15, 2002, the Directive 2001/95/EC on General Product Safety aims to ensure that products placed on the market are safe. It applies to all products intended for consumers or likely to be used by consumers in the course of commercial activity, regardless of whether they are new, used, or reconditioned.
