On 24 February 2023, New Zealand's Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) formally received the application under section 96B of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 to amend the Cosmetic Products Group Standard 2020 (Group Standard). Following a nearly year-long period, the amendments to the Group Standard were approved by New Zealand Decision-making Committee in January 2024.
