Summary

On March 21, 2024, China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced significant amendments to the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (2015 Edition) (STSC), involving changes to 5 prohibited ingredients and 14 testing methods for cosmetics. The ingredient list was updated with immediate effect, while the revised testing methods are scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2024.
