On February 19, 2025, the China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) issued a notice seeking public comments on the draft "Information on the Use of Some Ingredients Included in the International Cosmetic Safety Assessment Data Index." The consultation period will end on March 4, 2025.

The notice also announces the renaming of the Index of Cosmetics Safety Assessment Data from Authoritative Organizations to the International Cosmetic Safety Assessment Data Index.
