Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1531 Amending Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 On Certain CMR Substances

With the aim to reflect in Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (the Cosmetics Regulation) the new CMRs classification provided by Commission Regulation (EU) No 2020/1182 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/849, and to ensure legal certainty and high level of protection of human health, EU issued the Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1531 to amend annexes to the Cosmetics Regulation. These amendments include adding 14 prohibited ingredients and 1 restricted ingredient, deleting 1 prohibited ingredient, and amending 1 permitted preservative.
