On March 30, 2022, the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) introduced the Resolution RDC No. 645/2022, which sets out use restrictions for lead acetate, formaldehyde and paraformaldehyde, formaldehyde, and pyrogallol in personal hygiene products, cosmetics, and perfumes. This regulation has been in effect since May 2, 2022.
