On May 24, 2023, Minnesota enacted HF 2310, a comprehensive environmental bill that includes "Amara's Law"—a broad ban on PFAS, defined as fluorinated organic chemicals with at least one fully fluorinated carbon atom. The first phase of the law took effect on January 1, 2025, prohibiting the sale, offer for sale, or distribution of 11 categories of products with intentionally added PFAS, including cosmetics, carpets, cleaning products, and cookware.
