On June 24, 2025, China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) released a notice, soliciting public comments on nine cosmetic standards. This standard specifies the basic information, requirements, test methods, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, and shelf life of Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 for cosmetic use. It applies to acetate or salt-free Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 powder, which is chemically synthesized from glutamic acid, methionine, glutamine, and arginine as starting materials, followed by purification, freeze-drying, and other processes.
