On November 3, 2021, EU published Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1902 in its Official Journal, amending the ingredient lists of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (Cosmetics Regulation) to reflect new classifications of CMR substances (those identified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic for reproduction) under Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/1182. While the regulation came into force on November 23, 2021, the updated ingredient requirements shall apply from March 1, 2022.
