On January 2, 2026, Indonesia's Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) released a draft Regulation on the Inclusion of Ingredient Origin and Alcohol Content Information in Product Information, Labels, and/or Markings for Drugs and Food.

Under the draft regulation, cosmetics are only subject to labeling requirements related to ingredient origin and halal/non-halal information. The labeling of alcohol concentration is not mandatory for cosmetic products.
