Human Skin Patch Test

On January 12, 2026, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced the incorporation of four test methods into the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics 2015 (STSC). This method specifies the purpose, basic principles, requirements for test subjects, and procedures for conducting human skin patch tests. It is applicable for detecting potential adverse skin reactions caused by cosmetic products.
