On January 12, 2026, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced the incorporation of four test methods into the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics 2015 (STSC). This document specifies the purpose, subject requirements, test procedure, and evaluation criteria for the cosmetic safety in-use test. It is applicable for detecting potential adverse skin reactions in humans resulting from the use of cosmetic products.
