On January 12, 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) issued an announcement incorporating five testing methods into the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (2015). The announcement includes both the addition of new methods and revisions to existing ones. Among them, the Determination of Diethylene Glycol in Cosmetics was introduced as a new testing method.
