This document provides two human trial methods for evaluating skin whitening efficacy. The first method employs a UV-induced skin pigmentation model to assess product efficacy, while the second is based on open-use trials in human subjects. Compared with the current method in the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (STSC), this draft optimizes subject selection, streamlines testing procedures, and reinforces quality control measures.
