The guideline, revised at the 42nd ACSB Meeting, consisting of 5 articles, specifies the requirements for the labeling and claims of sunscreen products. It applies to sunscreen products, i.e., those products whose primary function is UV protection, as indicated by relative order, size, content, and extent of claim material. It does not apply to products that make secondary UV-protection claims, such as moisturizing or skin-lightening products.
