The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) released its casebook on cosmetics imitating food to clarify the scope of the Cosmetics Act prohibition. The guideline explains that cosmetics are banned when they imitate the shape, smell, color, size, container, or packaging of food and may be mistaken for food and ingested.
