Ms. Ren Yuan graduated from Harbin Medical University. She is the Chief Physician/Researcher of the Institute for Environmental and Related Products Safety of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Deputy Director of the Cosmetic Standards Expert Committee of the National Medical Products Administration. Over the years, Ms Yuan Ren has worked in the field of cosmetics safety evaluation, participated in the formulation and revision of cosmetics related regulations, standards and norms, drafted cosmetics related regulations for the National Medical Products Administration, and completed a number of research subjects and projects on cosmetics safety evaluation. She has participated in many expert review meetings on the review and evaluation of administrative licensing of cosmetics, mainly involving the review of cosmetics packaging and label publicity, and also participated in the national professional technical training courses in cosmetics organized by the National Medical Products Administration for many times. She has taken part in the emergency treatment of cosmetic safety emergencies and the safety evaluation of cosmetics undertaken by the Ministry of Health and the National Medical Products Administration for several times, and published many papers on the health and safety of cosmetics. She has completed special scientific research projects in the health industry of the Ministry of Health, such as "Key Detection Technology Research and System Establishment for Prohibited Ingredients in Health-related Products (Cosmetics)" and "Safety Evaluation of Hair Dye Products on the Market", as well as the Sino-Japanese cooperation project "Safety Evaluation of Hair Dye Cosmetics". Her major papers in recent years include "Review, Reflection and Thoughts on Public Emergencies of Cosmetics in China" and "Investigation and Discussion on the Current Situation of the Use of Anti-freckle and Whitening Ingredients in Cosmetics in China", etc.
