Background

The United Kingdom left the European Union on the 31 January 2020, and the EU Single Market on 31 December 2020. The Brexit process included retaining EU legislation, and therefore the need for the UK to establish the systems and processes that enable the practical application of the legislative framework. The UK opted for sovereignty and the ability to make its own decisions, and this will include aspects such as the evolution of the legislation and the decisions made on the management of ingredients in cosmetic products.

During this webinar, Mr. Nicholas Shaw Núñez and Ms. Caroline Rainsford from the UK's Cosmetic Toiletry & Perfumery Association (CTPA) will highlight the changes after almost a year and a half of the entry into force of the UK Cosmetics Regulation, with practical considerations on product compliance and market surveillance activities and an overview of our work as an association.

Contents
  1. The UK-EU Relationship

  2. The UK Cosmetics Regulation

  3. Northern Ireland and the EU

  4. The Ingredient Management Process in the UK

*The final outline may be subjected to subtle revision
