Background

On August 28, 2020, China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) released the draft Instructions for New Cosmetic Ingredient Registration and Notification Dossiers for public consultation. The draft regulates the dossiers categories required for new cosmetic ingredient registration and notification and the requirements for each document and related testing. The draft also mentions that international alternatives can be acceptable under certain conditions.

In the English session, Joanna Ru will interpret the requirements for dossiers required for new cosmetic ingredient registration and notification, toxicological testing (including alternatives-related requirements), efficacy and stability testing, and other worthy-noting key points.
