This amendment provides clear guidelines on the labeling of products with halal certificates issued by overseas halal institutions (LHLN) when entering the Indonesian market. The LHLN should be those have signed Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with BPJPH. Enterprises have the option to choose one of the following forms for halal labeling:
a. Products should bear the Indonesian Halal Label along with the overseas halal certificate registration number obtained from BPJPH;
b. Products should bear the Indonesian Halal Label along with the overseas halal certificate registration number obtained from BPJPH and the LHLN halal label.
