Cosmetic manufacturers and importers are required to submit a Cosmetic Notification Form (CNF) within 10 days of the initial sale of their products in Canada. The CNF was updated in March 2025. To assist stakeholders, the Guide for Cosmetic Notifications and its Appendix 2 have been revised accordingly.

Rather, it serves as an interpretive document that consolidates the requirements outlined in relevant acts and regulations. Nonetheless, it is recommended that enterprises adhere to the guidelines to ensure compliance.
