On November 3, 2025, Indonesia released and implemented amendments to the Regulation Concerning the Control of Drug and Food Online Distribution. The regulations scope also covers the online sale of cosmetics. The updates are:

• Clarifying that drugs (including cosmetics) and food products distributed online must comply with applicable safety, efficacy/benefit/nutritional, quality, labeling, marking, promotion, and advertising requirements, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations;

• Clarifying that non-compliant enterprises may result not only in administrative sanctions but also in potential criminal penalties.
