On December 12, 2025, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) issued Official Dispatch No. 4984/QLD-MP to implement conclusions from the 42nd ASEAN Cosmetic Council (ACC) meeting, which mandates the inclusion of Miconazole, Miconazole nitrate, and Cyclotetrasiloxane (CAS: 293-51-6) in Annex II—List of prohibited ingredients. DAV requires provincial and municipal health departments to stop reviewing and accepting dossiers for cosmetic product notifications containing those ingredients and direct cosmetic businesses to comply with the ASEAN Cosmetic Directiveand related DAV notifications.
