Japanese Standards of Quasi-drug Ingredients 2006

On March 31, 2006, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) issued JSQI 2006, replacing the 1991 framework. This revision incorporated additional ingredients into Appendix II (for additives), including those previously covered under abolished cosmetic ingredient standards. Appendix I, covering active ingredients, remained largely unchanged from JSQI 1991.
