On April 2, 2024, the Australia Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) released its Fees and Charges Proposal 2024-251. This proposal covers the revised fees and charges in relation to the importation and manufacture (introduction) of industrial chemicals in Australia.
The proposal covers various aspects, including:
Thresholds for each registration level;
AICIS registration fees and levies;
Certificate, authorization, and inventory listing fees;
Fees for applications to protect information as “confidential business information”;
Import and export applications for chemicals under international agreements.

Notes: The registration level outlines the value of industrial chemicals that an introducer imported or manufactured in the previous financial year. The Australia financial year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 each calendar year.
