A special half-year initiative adopted by FDA in Nantong city of Jiangsu Province to investigate and stop the illegal addition of prohibited ingredients has recently been concluded. The results of the inspection indicate that 79.03% of products were compliant with Chinese regulatory requirements
In total 124 batches of cosmetics were inspected bear a variety of functional claims—regarded in China as “special-use”, including freckle-removing, whitening, acne-removing, wrinkle-removing and anti-aging.
