Takehome:
Korean authorities will use QR Codes (two-dimension code) to replace the use of barcodes.
The QR Code will improve the efficiency of management and delivery of the product. Barcodes can only contain a cosmetic type code (GTIN) but a two-dimension code can include additional information such as expiry date or serial number. The code system will be accordingly shifted to GS1 from EAN/UCC.
