Shanghai CIQ Reduces Review Requirements for Cosmetic Exhibitors

To support the development of international exhibitions and conferences in Shanghai and encourage cosmetic companies to attend the events, Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (Shanghai CIQ) announced the following favorable policies for both domestic and overseas cosmetic companies on Sep 23:

• Prepackaged cosmetics are exempted from sticking an over-label and sampling inspection.
• Medium-risk and low-risk cosmetics are exempted from verifying the exporting country animal and plant quarantine certificate, hygiene certificate and origin certificate
• The scope of animals and plants products subject to mandatory quarantine will be narrowed down.
