Malaysia’s List of Recognized Foreign Halal Certification Bodies

Given that Malaysia is a Muslim-majority country, halal certification is highly advisable for cosmetic product categories, although it is not compulsory. To market imported cosmetics as halal in Malaysia, stakeholders must comply with the halal requirements set by Malaysian authorities and obtain a halal certificate. The certificate can be granted from a foreign halal certification body recognized by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

Malaysia’s list of recognized foreign halal certification bodies is established under the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) Order 2011.
