Taiwan to Regulate Infant Wet Wipes as Cosmetics from June 1st 2017

On early April, Taiwan FDA released a notice that they will regulate wet wipes for infants as cosmetics from June 1st 2017. All wet wipes made for infants must obey the specific rules in Statute for Control of Cosmetic Hygiene.

Korea Revises Quasi Drug Evaluation Requirements

Korea adjusted the existing evaluation requirements for quasi drugs to align with the new quasi drug reevaluation scheme implemented on December 4th 2015. Korea to Revise Manufacturing Standards for Quasi-Drug

Recently the Korean MFDS released a notice on the revision of the manufacturing standards for quasi-drug. The main contents of this upcoming revision are: 1. Revising the manufacturing standards of hair dye: 1) To reduce the upper concentration limit of 12 components including p-aminophenol. Taiwan to Regulate Infant Wet Wipes as Cosmetics

Taiwan FDA released a draft announcing their intension to regulate wet wipes for infants as cosmetics from June 1st 2017. The definition of infants references the definition set by WHO, which means babies under 1 years of age. Once this regulation officially takes effect, all wet wipes made for infants should obey the specific rules in Statute for Control of Cosmetic Hygiene.
