China Announces Customs Inquiry Procedures for Export Control of Dual-Use Items

Consignors are required to submit relevant materials within 7 working days upon receiving the Customs Inquiry Notice.

On June 16, 2025, the China General Administration of Customs (GACC) released Notice No. 123 of 2025, titled “Announcement on Matters Related to Customs Inquiries on Export Control of Dual-use Items.” This notice introduces inquiry procedures for the export control of dual-use items, with the goal of enhancing efficiency and transparency of customs inquiries involving potentially controlled goods.
