China Seeks Comments on STSC Implementation Rules

China's Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (STSC) has undergone frequent updates recently. On July 15, 2026, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) released a draft Announcement on Matters Relating to the Implementation of STSC Revisions. The draft clarifies compliance procedures for updating ingredient lists, microbiological and harmful substance limits, and testing methods. Cosmetic registrants and notifiers must prepare for these updates and submit required modification applications before the upcoming implementation deadline.
