The international cosmetic regulatory management seminar is due to take place on the 10th of November, focusing on discussion of UV protection cosmetics and related topics.
The two day meeting aims to bridge the information gap between Korea and foreign countries by inviting experts from Chinese, US, EU and Japanese government departments and cosmetic companies to contemplate regulatory management of UV protection cosmetics and seek an optimal path for cosmetics companies to grow and expand in the global market. Another key subject is the technical aspects relating to evaluation of UV protection cosmetic efficacy.
Seminars such as this are encouraged by the Korean government as an important method to establish international cooperation and aid in the development of both its regulatory system and the productivity of its domestic industry.
Representatives of the Korean Cosmetic Association are expected to attend the event while high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will also deliver speeches.
Korean cosmetic legislative and regulatory efforts have garnered considerable global attention over the last several years as the country’s cosmetic industry continues to grow, requiring enhanced monitoring of cosmetic safety and rigorous inspection of Korea’s supply chain.
