As revealed by ChemLinked’s previous report, Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) revised the positive list in the Standards for Cosmetics with the addition of a new UV absorber and its maximum limit.
On Dec. 10, 2018, Japan MHLW notified the revision (G/TBT/N/JPN/615) to the WTO Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee for trading partners’ comments until Feb. 7, 2019. The effective date of the notified content is scheduled for mid-March 2019.
