Korea to Amend Cosmetics Pricing Rules

On 16 Apr 2014, KFDA published the notice regarding partial amendment to  “Outlines of Pricing System of Cosmetics”.

The amendments were made to standardize the pricing rules of cosmetics. Once the amendments take effect, prices shall be attached to individual cosmetic items.

In regards to recent widespread utilization of multi-channels distribution channels (especially online sales), the notice requires that legible and identifiable price information shall be presented for consumers. The exact protocols and rules will be further developed in the future.
