On Jun 22, 2018, Korea MFDS released an announcement planning to amend Enforcement Rule of the Cosmetics Act.
The main amendments are as follows:
- Baby and children cosmetics shall label the restricted ingredients contents on product packaging. The restricted ingredients here means that the content of ingredients that can be used in the manufacture of cosmetics is specified.
- All the cosmetics shall label the allergenic ingredients on the packaging.
- Set penalty standard for advertisement during advertising suspension period. Products may be subject to sale restrictions/bans if enterprises continue to advertise during suspension period.
