SFDA Issues the Official Guidance on the Identification of Fast Testing Methods for Health Food and cosmetics

With a view to enhance the ability of testing health food and cosmetics, SFDA formulated the Guidance on Identification of Fast Testing Methods for Health Food and cosmetics, according to Food Safety Law and Regulations Concerning Hygiene Supervision over Cosmetics, and released it on June 29, 2012.

On May 24, 2012, SFDA consulted on the draft of this Guidance. There are no difference between the draft and the final version through comparison. The Guidance sets out detailed information concerning:

• Identification Scope;
• Source of Methods;
• Identification Procedures;
• Identification Principles;
• Notification Conditions;
• Notification Documents and Requirements; and
• Check and verification
