Taiwan is consulting on a revised list of Legal Colorants in Cosmetics. The list newly adds 77 colorants, amends requirements for 35 colorants and removes 4 colorants.
On April 8, 2020, Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) released a revised list of Legal Colorants in Cosmetics for public consultation. The public consultation will last until June 5, 2020. Any suggestions on the list can be mailed to sherrycty@fda.gov.tw.

High-risk NCIs require registration, while low- and medium-risk NCIs can be notified through online dossier submissions, streamlining market entry. It is revised aperiodically in response to changing trade practices in the industry. China is planning to issue a new version of STSC.
