Taiwan Revise Maximum Levels of Medical, Poisonous or Potent Drugs in Cosmetics

Recently, Taiwan FDA released a revised Standard List of Maximum Levels of Medical, Poisonous or Potent Drugs in Cosmetics.

Three estrogens- estradiol, estrone and ethinyl estradiol have been removed from the list. These three estrogens had been officially banned in cosmetics since February 19^th 2016. No more cosmetic products containing these three estrogens are allowed to imported or produced from the day of announcement. All existing cosmetic products which contain these three estrogens are cannot be sold from May 1^st 2016. Companies that hold permits to produce products containing those three estrogens should proactively register changes to ingredients and apply for cancelation of their permit.
