Thailand Proposes Amendments to Cosmetic Restricted and Prohibited Ingredient Lists

On October 15, 2025, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) issued four draft regulations introducing significant updates to the list of prohibited and restricted cosmetic ingredients. The proposals are open for public consultation until October 29, 2025. These amendments aim to strengthen consumer safety and align Thailand’s regulations with the updates to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) adopted during the 40^th and 41^st ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) meetings.
