Thailand Releases Updated Guidelines on Prohibited Words for Cosmetic Names

On November 12, 2025, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) issued the Guidelines for the Consideration of Words Prohibited from Use as the Name or Part of the Name of a Trade Name and a Cosmetic Product Name (Revised Edition, August 22, 2025). The updated guideline provides clearer criteria and more systematic classification of prohibited words to help cosmetic businesses avoid misleading names and ensure compliance with Thai cosmetic regulations.
