The Thai FDA has updated its guideline for notifying reformulated cosmetics while retaining the original product name, which refines the earlier version by introducing clearer eligibility conditions, a differentiated review process based on product risk level, and additional procedural details.
On October 29, 2025, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) issued a revised version of the Clarification on the Guideline for Cosmetic Notification in Cases of Formula Changes While Intending to Use the Original Product Name. The new edition replaces the earlier version released on October 6, 2025, introducing clearer eligibility conditions, a differentiated review process based on product risk level, and additional procedural details.
