Supervision and Administration Measures on Cosmetics Manufacture and Operation

On Aug. 2, 2021, China State Administration for Market Regulation released the finalized Supervision and Administration Measures on Cosmetics Manufacture and Operation, which will come into force on Jan. 1, 2022.The Measures consists of 7 chapters with 66 provisions, detailing cosmetic manufacture and operation management. Technical Guidelines for Cosmetic Safety Assessment

On Jul. 29, 2020, China opened a public consultation on Technical Guidelines for Cosmetic Safety Assessment. On Apr. 9, 2021, the finalized Technical Guidelines for Cosmetic Safety Assessment was officially published and will take effect on May 1, 2021. Standards for Cosmetic Efficacy Claim Evaluation_EN

After two rounds of public consultation on September 1, 2020 and November 5, 2020 respectively, China NMPA officially released the finalized Standards for Cosmetic Efficacy Claim Evaluation on April 9 and will implement it starting from May 1, 2021.
