Brazil Adds TPO and DMPT to List of Prohibited Cosmetic Substances

On November 3, 2025, Brazil published Resolution RDC No. 995/2025, effective immediately, which amends Resolution RDC 529/2021 to prohibit the use of TPO and DMPT in personal hygiene products, cosmetics, and perfumes. A 90-day transition period is provided to allow sell-through of products already on the market.

UK Moves to Ban 4-MBC and 16 CMR Substances in Cosmetics

France Seeks Stricter Octocrylene Limits from the EU for Environmental Protection
